new machine issues

I have anew machine with 2 graphics cards, they are HD 6800 series but not sure which one probably 6850.
They are set to work in crossfire. When I play Empire total war special forces edition it runs fine in a window but when you try and run full screen it flashes and doesnt display properly even at medium resolutions....why is that ?

Are you running the newest AMD Catalyst driver ? ( 12.3 if I recall correctly ).
If not, uninstall the current driver, and install the latest one from ati.com and try again.
It sounds like a driver or game issue ( have you updated the game to the latest version available atm ? )
