Install of Vista Home on to new HDD

I've got some frustrating issues with installing Vista Home Premium on to a replacement/new hard drive...
The basic installation appeared to have completed without too many issues, but the system and screen freezes within a minute or two of loading up


Except for the new hard drive, the rest of the hardware has remained unchanged (although I removed the PCI graphics card in an attempt to track down the source of the problem).


It seems that either Windows itself, or a driver etc may be causing the problem...
When I checked the system, the only issue the system could find was an incompatible "6to4 adaptor"??


Thankfully I've managed to get the system running reliably in Safe Mode, which seems to confirm it's not a hardware issue??

Hi and welcome to Free PC Help.
It does look like a driver problem rather than hardware as you say, I see from the screen shot you can get to device manager, have a look in there for any red or yellow exclamation or question marks, you may have to expand each section to check, let us know if you find anything.
