For the last few days now my PC randomly goes up to 100%, il close all the programs and still it stays at 100%. The toolbar at the bottom starts disappearing and reappearing and im unable to do anything. I took some screenshots of the different tabs on task manager to see if anyone can see a reason why its doing this.
thanks

It is a bit hard to read, even in the links. Do you have larger images or can you type them

Are you connected to the net and online when this activity is going on, and can you see if there is any heavy traffic either coming in or going out at the time?

csrss.exe
Maxtor status icon
Winlog.exe
dwm.exe
lxddmon.exe
lxddamon.exe
DAP.exe
RtHDVCpl.exe
hkcmd.exe
igfxsrvc.exe
issch.exe
jusched.exe
ehmsas.exe
ehtray.exe
OSD.exe
igfxpers.exe
taskend.exe

Also now the PC takes much longer to start-up to the screen where i log on, and the fan sounds like its laboring when the PC's at 100%.

Hi, What type of connection are you using? If say an ADSL, some ADLS modems have an icon on the bottom task bar that if double clicked will show a real time bar chart of what is happening and the speed it is going at.
If a different type of connection, there are other ways of monitoring the in and out, but we need to know which to advise.
Also some firewalls will indicate traffic, though not very well, I have Comodo for instance, which shows red arrows for incoming and green for outgoing.

Hi King,

If you open up the task manager and go to the Processes tab, you should see a button near the bottom that reads 'Show Processes from all users'

Click it, click continue when prompted, and then look again at the processes tab. Click the 'CPU' heading near the top to sort the processes by their current CPU use.

Is there a process that stays at the top with a high useage beside it?

Hi, I am a little worried that the high CPU usage may be down to malware activity, but I will wait for our security team to have a look, if they think the same then this may be moved to that section.
