Go into Add/Remove and you should have version 6 update 6

hi, there is nothing in the add/remove programs. what do i do now..would you like a print screen of that in case its under a different name or something?

hi i have now downloaded the recommended java, and when I go onto the site, it says the message again. i will download it again to see if it persists. if it does, then what?

Now download the flash player from the site listed earlier.

ok no problem. the site where it is downloading from is currently undergoing maintenance but will try it again later. Thanks for your help. If I still have problems, then will be in touch.

Another thing to check - Go into Internet Explorer, click "Tools" and "Internet Options". Go to your "Security" tab, then click on the "Custom Level" button. Scroll waaaaay down until you find "Scripting", then beneath that a couple options "Scripting of Java Applets". Make sure it's set to Enable.

Also, IE's pop-up blocker can block Flash applications from loading, depending on how they're embedded into the web page.
