Default Tree view of thread

Threads used to be shown in tree format but are now in a linear list form which I find difficult to follow. If I post a new thread and get four replies and respond to each of them, the presentation seems to be first my opener, then the four replies then my four responses, without an obvious way either to relate a response to a reply or to know if a response has been replied to. The old presentation was delightfully clear and logical. Or am I missing something?

You chose not to Subscribe to threads, I have changed this so all you have to do when you want to see replies to your posts is just click Quick Links/Subscribed Threads.

View your User Control Panel in depth Mtav.

We obviously can't have the last reply as the one immediately viewable as no one would know what the original question was.

Thanks. Wolfeymole, but it doesn't seem to have changed anything.

Back in February I had intractable problem which wasn't solved, but in trying to do so I sent 45 postings out in reply to the several correspondents who joined in and were extremely helpful. The tree became quite long but remained easy to navigate. It showed only the headings of posts, and the content of a post could be seen by clicking on it. I forget what the heading showed - sender's name and date/time, was it? I don't seem able to get back to that format now.

If you want me to change you to this method of viewing then let me know Mtav as it is not a normal default setting.

Yes, please. I'm right that it was standard in Feb, aren't I? I wonder why the new layout is seen as better.

Well I've looked into this Mtav and I think you must be confusing us with someone else as we have never had the board in threaded mode although it is possible to have it that way.

However this change would affect the entire board and we are not prepared to do this sorry.

You talk of a scenario that looks similar to this yes?

Annoyances.org - Drag and Drop behaviour is different between different partions and within the same partion. (Windows Vista Discussion Forum)
