Hi,

After lending my Laptop to a friend the Avrack symbol has disappeared from my desktop and I have no sound. I have tried to restore but I can't find it. How do i reinstall it and get my sound back?
I have no tv at the moment as I am in the middle of moving house so the laptop is my only entertainment please help I am going quietly crazy!!

Thanks

Hi Abilouise and welcome.
First thing to try is a system restore back to a time previous to when you lent the machine out to your friend.

If that can't be done or doesn't work, can you have a look in device management and look for sound video and game controllers. click on the expansion + to see the list, are there any yellow ! marks or red X next to anything?

To get to device management click start, then run, and type in the box devmgmt and click OK.

I installed Windows!! Should I install curtains as well?
Why the fuss over Windows 7?
I have three at the front and four at the back of my house all the time.

Avrack ....
Is this a media player of sorts ....comes bundled with Realtek software for their Sound Cards ?

What is the make and exact model number of your laptop ?

Start > Run ....type in ...devmgmt.msc.....hit OK
What is listed next to Sound Video Game ..... if you click on the +

EDIT
You beat me to it Nev

Hi again Abilouise,
Try a copy and paste of this into the run box -- devmgmt.msc

Did you include the ".msc" last time?

Hi,

If needed your sound card drivers are available here:
Downloads - Support - Fujitsu

You will need to select the group > family > product in order to d/l the specific driver.
