Default USB stops working

I have a very similar issue with my new ALiveNF6P-VSTA, the USB works during the BIOS but once Windows XP starts to boot up whether its safe mode or normally, the USB stops working. The hard drive is not fresh, as it was used in my old computer on which the old mobo died. Any ideas?

You need to install the USB drivers that came with the NEW MOBO.

Use a PS2 one - if you don't have one then make sure that the USB support is enabled in the BIOS

Had to use a PS/2 keyboard and mouse and then installed the USB drivers and it worked.
P.S. dont use a USB to PS/2 adapter because it didnt work.. use a keyboard and mouse with PS/2 connectivity.
