Hi again, i have found a log which might help. I have downloaded the deep burn software and will try tomorrow.

I'd try the external burner in another computer.

i have tried the drive in the other pc and it worked, but why not on the faster pc?

My last message i said it worked, What i mean is i have a extenal dvd drive and also a intenal drive. The extenal works ok on the slower pc but the faster pc am having problems with. The faster one has a intenal drive and does not work for burning and the log is above and the extenal drive also does not work with the faster one.

Have you installed the drivers for the external on the (faster pc)?
External drives are problematic at best -
if it works on the older pc and not on the newer one then there is something on the old one that you do not have on the new one,
that could be (drivers) your version of NERO could be corrupt on the new one.
