Default Ram OK?

I have an AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ CPU - driver version 1.3.2.0 (released 27/5/06). According to the AMD website, there is a 1.3.2.0053 (releaseed Sep 07). Would this version be a newer version of what I have. I have tried to download the driver but when I do it asks me if I want to uninstall.

Hello Jase. The version you are trying to download might be the same that you currently have. However, the prompt you are getting will uninstall the driver you currently have and install the driver you have downloaded. I don't normally recommend a driver update if everything is working fine, so unless you have a very good reason for a upgrade, you should be fine with the current driver. Hope that helps.

There is a lot of stuttering going on in certain games and i'm trying to get to the root cause. Just thought this may have been an issue.

Default Ram OK?

My PC stutters during some games which I have learn to accept as I have tried just about everything to cure it but to no avail. I noticed this info from CPU-Z and was wondering if the Corsair Ram stick may be a problem due to only having 2 timings:

Slot#1 Micron Technology - 512MB PC3200 (200MHz). Timing freq. 133, 166, 200
Slot#2 Corsair - 512MB PC3200 (200MHz). Timing freq. 166, 200
Slot#3 Kingston - 512MB PC3200 (200MHz). Timing freq. 133, 166, 200
Slot#4 Kingston - 512MB PC3200 (200MHz). Timing freq. 133, 166, 200

I doubt it would be that one stick slowing the system - but for future reference do not mix RAM suppliers if you can help it - they do not 'normally' work well together.
they are all the same speed which does help
so they will all run at the maximum speed - MOBO permitting.
I would check the RAM manufacturers and see what there timings are they will probably be 4-4-4-12 but have a look and check that yours in the BIOS correspond -
I would guess that the CORSAIR and KINGSTON RAM needs more juice to get them to better timings but you will have to check the Micron one can handle it.
you may get better performance with just the 2 sticks of Kingston and run them at the sites recommended timings and voltage
