Default Uprgrading Memory

Hi,

I want to install more memory onto my computer, to improve games etc (becasue hitman keeps crashing while im playing).
I currently have 512 mb and i was thinking of getting 1 gb, i know my current one is PC 3200 so i need the same type. however i have been told that i need to consider my motherboard, is this the case?
(my mother board is Pheonix - awardBIOS v6.00PG)

If i buy pc3200 1 gb memory will it work in my computer?

Go here Remboi and run a scan from Crucial.

Thanks, but iv ran this before and it said it couldnt detect what i had. i even emailed crucial asking for there help but they never got back to me.

We need to know the make and model of the motherboard remboi.
You are quoting what bios it has.
