Please disable the Firewall. We need your system specifications to provide you with the appropriate instructions.

Are you saying that you accidentally clicked the Network tab in System Spec and now it is giving you the error message? If it is so, then I am sorry to say but you are having a lot of fishy problems. It would be easier and much more time saving to perform a complete reinstall.

To do so, you might find the following article useful.

How to Downgrade Windows Vista to XP

I don't normally recommend this solution but the problems you are facing are very severe. It would be more sensible to perform a complete reinstall.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Let us know if you want to choose that path.

Well wev'e got over 80 points and are going nowhere fast, and I see no point in seeing the system specs, as the computer runs fine in Safe Mode.

zism,

Do you have a Vista DVD, and do you have your important information backed up?

Reason I ask is, I think you should do a clean install of Vista, which is very easy to do.

I just reserached the R20. It should have come with a recovery DVD, or you can start the recovery right from within Windows:

This R20 came with Windows Vista Home Premium. A version of the R20 with XP Pro has also been introduced. The software supplied with the R20 has been listed above. “Bloatware” is limited compared with some brands and the main constituent is the Microsoft Office 2007 trial. A trial version of McAfee Security Center is also provided. A few comments on the less common software are given below:
  • CyberLink DVD Suite which contains PowerDVD 7
  • Samsung Play AVStation which is a multi-media video / music / photo viewing package
  • Samsung AV Station Now which is started using the small button next to the on button but seems to end up in Vista (the XP version is a separate system)
  • Samsung Recovery Solution II: This creates system restore points on a hidden partition on the hard disk. It appears to include some useful features, such as selectively restoring the operating system.

Hello Zism. With all the problems you have been having, I would recommend you to downgrade to XP. From the reference of this post, I understand that you still have your XP discs.

Vista is very demanding on resources and doesn't seem to run adequately on your system. Just let us know if you want to continue to XP or not.
