Hello and Welcome to Free PC Help Wardy.

Sorry but I am no good at Linux as I have never used one. Please bear with us till someone more skilled at the Operating System comes online and reviews your case. Thank you for your peace and co-operation.

Hi Wardy,

The following link may help in regards to editing the menu.lst file

Editing /boot/grub/menu.lst to change the GRUB boot menu boff

Also, have a look at Ubuntu's guide to dual booting with Windows XP. I followed this a while back and found it very helpful.

Hope this helps, and let us know how you get on!
