Default Full screen video playback problems

Ive just bought a new dell laptop from pc world and for the time being all seems well the only problem I have with it is I cant watch videos in full screen. Ive tried everything i could think of updating adobe flash player and adobe shockwave player and it still would'nt come up in full screen so I changed the screen resolotion and it STILL WONT WORK.

Try using the VLC media player

For Windows Media Player you need to press ALT-ENTER and then set the mouse to the top right of the screen by default, to allow it to fully go to full screen.
