Default Removing a drive

Hi all, I've recently given my old Dell PC to a work colleague and was trying to clear it up for him. I deleted all the files and tried to reinstall Windows XP - which I thought I had successfully done. However, he contacted me to say that I appear to have created a new drive (e drive) which opens on start up and which has very little memory so he can't install any new programmes on it. Is there a simple solution to this? I don't have the PC in front of me but want to help him out. You can probably tell I am an inexperienced user!

Hello jkrman

Welcome to Free PC Help

You will need to reinstall XP again and delete all partitions and create a new one that uses the whole disk size.

XP Clean Install
