Default Power Supply for Graphics card question

Hi, I need to know if these two graphics cards are compatible with my PC and which one would you suggest.
I wanted a Nvidia card, with 1gb of RAM and for some casual gaming.
This 1:http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/...
This 2:http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/...
Here are some specs for my PC :
I have a PCI Express slot for my graphics card.
I have 3gb of memory
I use Windows Vista Home Premium
I have 250gb of Hard drive space
My PSU(PowerBox) "DC output : 250W"
Basically what the problem is I'm not sure which 1 I should get and if I could take another 250W PSU I have and some how make it 500W, by hooking them both into the same graphics card.
Oh and I had this question(I had asked this guy if I need 2 PCI Express slots) : "They don't need to motherboard slots, just two backplate slots"
What does that mean?
Here is what I see in my computer right now :

Edit: Oh and the reason I could not just look at my PC inside and tell with my old Graphics card is because my old 1 is integrated and I am 2 noob to know where it is inside my PC

Joe -

Tell me what the MOBO and CPU is that you have in place at the moment and what budget that you have.
You must also bear in mind that you are VERY constricted with a 250Watt PSU

System Info
Renderer GeForce 6100 nforce 405/PCI/SSE2/3DNOW!
Adapter RAM:256MB
Monitor: Generic Non-PnP moniter
Display:1024 x 768 x 32 bpp (60Hz)
Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64X2 Dual Core Procssor 4000+
Open GL
Version: 2.1
Driver version: 7.15.11.7530 Forceware 175.30
DirectX
Version: 9.0 November 2007
Shader model: vs_3_0, ps_3_0

I also can get a a 500W Box but would like it If i could just get a graphics that could run on 250 and have 512Mg-1gb graphics card that would give me medium graphics in a game like C&C3 or BF2142.

The price would be 100$ tops.

Also I thought those 2 graphics card links would work with my PC and fullfill the needs I have with gaming. If all I need is a 500W PCU for them then I could just get one. And which card up there in my first post with the links is better?

Could I take another 250W PSU I have and some how make it 500W, by hooking them both into the same graphics card?

Right - you need to decide on a GPU first - the 6100 series is older and will therfore use more power - you are better off getting a newer card that consumes less power - ATI have done some scaled down cards recently -
as for the PSU - you can buy specific PSU's just for powering GPU's they cost around £50 and will power an SLI or CROSSFIRE rig.
