Operating System: Windows Vista - Home Premium PC Experience: Some Experience | btw would it matter much if the game needs at least a 3Ghz CPU and i have a quad core 2.4 GHz? |

Operating System: Windows 7 PC Experience: More and more each day I'm here | This is a question for others but normally the minimum specs are there for a reason. The fact that the game loaded ok is not very meaningful as it does not require many resources to load. There are some good hardware and gaming people on Free PC Help and you will just have to be patient and wait on their advice. Off hand though I would say that the difference between a 3Gig cpu and a 2.4 is significant.

Operating System: OSX PC Experience: Shredded the teeshirt...... | Speedstep is a way of slowing down your processor when it doesn't need to run flat out. So, when you are browsing the Internet you don't need the brute power of a quad core CPU. The CPU has the ability to slow down, that means it consumes less power and gives out less heat. When you need the power of your CPU it will jump back up to speed again. The spread spectrum bit is to do with electrical noise generated by your mainboard. Enabling Spread Spectrum reduces the noise characteristics to within certain standards. Disabling it is considered a way of acheiving a better overclocking performance, as spread spectrum can mess with the system clock speed slightly. You have a quad core CPU - minmum spec of 3GHz relates to a single core - no worries there! |
