Hi Nickos

There seems to be a patch for it here, I'm not really into gaming so others may jump in to help mate.

Nickos - what are you trying to launch the game from - the disk?
the shortcut on the desktop or a direct launch via C:/program files/(game developer) application?

The one that will ALWAYS work is the last one I listed, as the other 2 can have all sorts of problems.

Thanks Dalo + Wolfey-i have managed to download the client after two more attempts.I found the problem was pieces of data missing + corrupt files in the download,so i finallly found a site (filefront) which gave me the full client on the second attempt. Thanks again, Nick.
