My DVDrom is faulty and it doesn’t read any discs so i tried to use an external rom to boot with and the laptop doesn’t see it! I’ve tried going through the bios settings to enable external boot to occur. I have enabled it so many times and each time i check i see that it is enabled and still i can’t boot from CD or from any other external source!! I downloaded a new set of bios updates which are as follows 1. R0080J4 2. R0104J4 3. R0034J4 Even after applying these updates I still can’t boot from my external sources. I had the same problem of the pop-up from the battery and I've got it with their suggestions. The screen has to at one angle if the screen is moved the screen goes off. I let PC World have a look (for a laugh and there didn't disappoint me) there said it was going to be 230 pounds. I think it just needs a VGA cable replaced in the case. I do have experience in PC maintenance and repair so what do you guys think and anybody know where to get a replacement
