Default HELP!Outlook Express 2007 default email now will NOT OPEN!

System XP media

Have been using Microsoft Office outlook 2007 as default email for over two years...worked fine this morning, yet this afternoon when I clicked on shortcut to open email the shortcut disappeared ,and although Office outlook attempted to open
the following message was displayed

""cannot open your default email folder. The server is not available.Contact Admin if problem persists"

Now i can run my old Outlook express so server is not the problem....Please advises as how I can restore Office Outlook 2007 as it contains unanswered emails plus all stored contacts.

Incidentally have attempted restore but did not work??

There are good people everywhere. I had found the advice given to your posts there while researching. Since they had already given the most likely solution I didn't think it needed to be said twice.
