Do you know a good word editor

Hi Guys,

I have a new PC,

I don't have MS word installed.

I didn't want to pay for the new MS office 2007.


So, does anyone here know of a free word editor I can download from the web that has similar funcations to MS Word?

The Open Source alternative to Microsoft Office (http://www.openoffice.org/). Try it and see if it does the job for you or not.

you could do worse than look at SourceForge.net: Open Source Software (http://sourceforge.net/) as recommended by wolfie.

if you search the software section of this forum, you'll see lots of references to super freebies.
