Hi Doug;
I've heard about it but never tried it as I have no need of it.
It's main purpose appears to be for making ISO image disks. It will of course do other things but I have to ask about your needs.
Windows XP will burn data disks natively but not ISO disks. Do you need software that will create those?
Most computers that came with a writer and writers purchased afterwards will come with some pretty basic software that has a lot of functions including ISO creation and disk copy. Not copyright of course but I know that is not what you mean.
What burning software do you have now? You may not need this.

Also Dougie you may not be able to burn the disks because of the reason listed in the quote below from another forum.
Just a thought mate.
Question:
Hello there. I just started using Image Burn and the DVD I was using is apparently copyright protected. Is there any way to still burn it to a blank disk? Thanks for your help. Answer:
ImgBurn can't read protected discs.
Sorry for the delay getting back. It's not a Copyright issue.
It was just a method problem, using this Software.
I can burn with Windows and Deep Burner, but the Instructions had me tossed.
Just liked the layout,of Imgburn and wanted to learn how to use it.
I'm darned, if I can get anything from my Documents to Imgburn, using their instructions.
I am doing something wrong.
Imgburn is great for making ISO,as you say,but wanted to see if I could burn text and Family pictures to a Disc or Dvd.
Just me,Guys. Will play with it more.
Thanks for your replies.:)

Doug,
Nero is the best for 'DATA' disks IMHO
Hi Dalo,I have Nero7 Essentials, which came free, with my LG CD/DVD Burner.
I am one of those "Never Give Up"Guys, and did want to learn IMGBURN.
I just burnt a music CD with Nero, and found it surprisingly easy.:)

The thing with NERO is there are 2 settings, you have the basic and the advanced, just be careful if you decide to play with the advanced settings :D
Thanks for the advice,Dalo.:)
I normally leave programs on default.
This IMGBURN is bugging me.Every way I try,I can't get Data or images, from my H/Drive to the program,to be burnt.
Tried sliding Files with mouse, copy and Paste.Nothing seems to work.
I downloaded the 52 Page Tutorial PDF File, and I can't see exactly how to move Data.

H Drive Dougie?
Can you pop a screen shot on of your partition structuring in Disk Management mate so we can see what's what please.
Hi Wolfey,I haven't got any Drives partitioned as yet. Haven't had the Computer long enough.
Normal C Drive, and E Drive, eventually for backup.
There is something I should be doing that I am not.
I will post a screen shot of the point where I get lost, shortly. Thanks for staying with this.

I said Disk Management Dougie not the defrag section, however no matter.
Where's this H: drive you talk of?
Looks to me like a single drive with two partitions.
Right click on My Computer and choose Manage, then choose Storage and then Disk Management.

Consider a screen shot of my set up Dougie.
H: drive in mine is a Card Reader, and I think the same applies to you, would this be correct?
