Video recovery

I have someone's computer and I'm trying to see what naughty things they've downloaded. Unfortunately they deleted whatever was there before I nabbed it. I've used a couple of programs to recover files and although I've got back some files it still couldn't get any videos (which I know for a fact are there somewhere)
Anyone got any suggestions on software that can recover videos specifically? Free is preferable but I'm willing to pay if I know it will work
